General introduction of the Dept. activities
The vision of the SE & A Dept. is to be credible and reliable partner of the Czech Air Force in the area of the Aeronautical Engineering Safety and Readiness.
Principal mission of this Dept. is to secure in acceptable time good-quality and independent information, background data and evidence to finding causes of Air Accidents (AA) and Incidents (AI), to solution of failure claims leading to Air Accident or to Air Incident and to securing reliable operation and maintenance of Aeronautical Engineering for external and internal clients.

By the realization of technical assistance at professional finding causes of ACA, ACI and failures the SE & A Dept. executes one of major lines of business anchored in foundation charter of the LOM PRAHA, s. e., and in the status of the VTÚLaPVO, branch. The technical assistance at professional finding causes of ACA, ACI, and failures primarily involves:

• Readiness to acceptance of expertise subject
• Advisory and consulting activity of expert engineers
• Participation of experts in committees for professional finding causes of ACA or ACI
• Searching Aeronautical engineering in place of the ACA
• Searching Aeronautical engineering in laboratory
• Testing Aeronautical engineering
• Technical analyses
• Experiments etc.

The SE & A Dept. further ensures and carries out advisory, analytical and developmental activity in these areas:

• safety and reliability of Aeronautical Engineering operation
• development of information systems of safety and reliability of Aeronautical Engineering operation

History of the SE & A Dept.

The SE & A Dept. arose by reorganization of the VTÚLaPVO, branch, accomplished on the date 1 July 2009 by splitting Quality and Expertises Dept. By this reorganization the Quality Management was separated from the realization of Special expertises and analyses for the benefit of external and internal clients.
