General introduction of the Dept. activities
Securing of the area of Informatics procedures in the enterprise.
Support of Research and Development, primarily in the area of installation of new software and information and communication systems for the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, including special systems and application software for the Czech MoD and other clients. Support of training and educational activities to the HW and SW used in the enterprise, etc. Support of software and Communication and Information Systems Testing. Securing of safety of information, records and data processing according to contracts and implemented standards.

Other productive activities connected with SW, HW and Information and Communications Systems for their securing the Dept. has resources, capacities and prescribed authorization.

• Implementation and administration via the MS Windows with MS Exchange VMware visualized servers, ISA server, etc.
• Building and administration of the whole enterprise via application MS Office Sharepoint Server
• Administration and help-desk support of the DIAMAC Information System used in the whole enterprise, administration of the IBM with AIX server and database platform Informix and Genero environment on this the IS has been operated
• Solution and administration of the whole enterprise data and voice communications, based primarily on the Cisco active elements, the Alcatel, NeXspan telephone exchanges

History of the Dept.

In the after 1999 period the VTÚLaPVO, branch, became, in the area of informatics, provider of the operation flight planning systems for the Air Traffic Service (ATC), combat information systems and control systems of combat means.

• in 2003, when the Aircraft Repairs Kbely, s. e., the VTÚLaPVO Praha, and LOM PRAHA, s. e., were integrated as well as the integration of these enterprises IS/ICT, data and telephone interconnection of individual locations was begun, domains gradually were integrated, fusion and reimplementation of the whole enterprise information system DIAMAC were carried out, etc.
• in march 2008, the HW and communications project teams Division of the VTÚLaPVO Praha was integrated with the Information Systems and Technologies Division of the LOM PRAHA, s. e.
• since 2009, the Information Systems and Technologies Div. has been transforming at the Information Systems and Technologies Dept. because of growing of share of external projects
